News Written by Andrew StretchPublished: July 30, 2026 7:00 PMToday at GenCon, Dungeons & Dragons had their major keynote highlighting their updated roadmap for 2026 into 2027 giving us our first look at D&D Universes Beyond World of Warcraft, news of a return to Black Sun, and a variety of other interesting pieces of information about known and newly announced expansions.Ahead of this presentation, I got to sit down and hear from Dan Ayoub, Head of Franchise for Dungeons & Dragons, about the current state of the game and how their current goal is about "bringing everyone back to the table." With these roadmap reveals at GenCon, Ayoub plans to show just how invested WOTC is in making sure that Dungeons & Dragons is a game that people are continuing to enjoy playing.

We're going to go through each of the upcoming seasons in chronological order with everything we've learned.Before jumping right into the TTRPG, it's also worth mentioning that there was one update for the Warlock video game coming from Invoke Studios. This update included the reveal that the Patron of Kaatri, our protagonist, is none other than Tasha, who will be brought to life by Maggie Robinson.

Those already in the D&D Video Game space will be familiar with her work as Orin the Red in Baldur's Gate 3, while pretty much anyone online should know her work as Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village.More information about Warlock will be revealed during Opening Night Live at Gamescom in late August.Arcana Unleashed Features A High-Level Espionage Adventure For The Season of MagicReleasing on September 15th, with an Early Access period starting on September 1st, Arcana Unleashed is a Sourcebook and Adventure Book that highlights the wonders of magic in Dungeons & Dragons.
