Fate/Extra Record Introduces Caster in Third Character Trailer

Aniplex, Meteorise, and Type-Moon have released the third character trailer for Fate/Extra Record, introducing Caster.

Caster is voiced by Chiwa Saito and is one of the Servants the protagonist can form a contract with during the Moon Holy Grail War.

She is a corseceress possessing a fox tail and ears. She’s usually snarky, but he is exceptionally loyal to her Master.

Fate Extra/Record is a remake of the original Fate/Extra released for PSP. It follows a male or female protagonist with a choosable servant, ranging from Nero (Saber), Tamamo (Caster), and Emiya (Archer).

The protagonist, canonically named Hakuno Kishinami, regardless of gender, is an amnesiac who finds themselves in a Grail War. Strangely, this setting differs significantly from conventional reality, and learning the intricacies of their circumstances is central to Hakuno’s initial objectives.

The story moves the franchise’s Holy Grail War to SE.RA.PH, a digital environment created by the Moon Cell Automaton, a supercomputer hidden on the moon.

Combat uses a deck-building command system. Players construct a deck and select commands during battles, while each contracted Servant has individual abilities that affect available strategies.

Fate/Extra Record will be released on January 28, 2027, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
