While to some, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was the best game in the AC series for some time, if only because it’s built off a beloved entry already, there are no plans for any other game to get that same treatment.
In a bid to be transparent, in a lengthy blog post, Ubisoft confirmed that there are no new remakes in the works, but does leave the door open for the potential of a new remake in the future.
“One thing we want to be transparent about today is that we currently have no other Assassin’s Creed remake actively in development. Our teams are already focused on the next chapter of Assassin’s Creed titles, including projects you haven’t heard about yet, featuring new settings and stories.
But don’t mistake that for a closed door. Like many of you, we love the idea of revisiting our classic titles, and we’ll keep exploring opportunities to bring older titles back.”
Understandably, this may be a bit of bitter news to people who were hoping for more remakes, after all, we have to bear in mind, Assassin’s Creed as a whole has been around since 2007.
Now, to be fair, much of the AC titles can be played still through backwards compatibility and PC releases, but it would be cool to get some of that love for the older entries that aren’t talked about nearly as much as Black Flag.
