EA FC 27 arrived with the task of fulfilling EA’s promises by both balancing the effects of PlayStyles and increasing the importance of general attributes when taking a player to the pitch.

But even if they’re no longer as effective as they once were, that doesn’t mean the former are now a luxury, with the game’s defining cards and builds still having at least two or three meta picks in their arsenal. Here are the best PlayStyles for all positions in EA FC 27.

The Best GK PlayStyles

Starting with the most important player on the pitch, Far Reach and Rush Out are the best PlayStyles for goalkeepers in EA FC 27. Deflector is then the next best thing for those struggling with bounces, while Footwork offers a much-needed safety line against low driven shots.

The Best CB PlayStyles

Continuing their reign from last year, Intercept, Bruiser, and Anticipate are both the best PlayStyles for CBs in EA FC 27 and by far the most game-changing PS+ picks for the position. The title’s new manual defending focus and crossing mechanic also make Jockey and Aerial Fortress excellent finds.

As always, the core defensive picks (Anticipate, Jockey, and Block) are must-haves at regular rarity, with Whipped Pass and Relentless worth adding for both Wingbacks and Falsebacks.

Pinged Pass is also a solid option for breaking down defenses, while Inventive lets your players make unique passes and find space when there seems to be none.
